Q. Is the Fallen Citizen Project a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization?
Yes, the Fallen Citizen Project is non-profit organization and exists as a
program of National Heritage Foundation. Donations are tax deductible under
section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Service Code.
Q. Who is being affected by this crisis?
Families are being affected the most. It is devastating to hear the news that
your loved one has been shot or their vehicle has been struck by a mine. These
soldiers are teachers in our schools, police officers in our communities, and
parents that you used to talk to at a Friday Night High School football game.
They left the safety of our neighborhoods to keep their neighbors safe. This is
why it is critical to quickly provide help and meet the unanticipated demands
on the military members' families to comfort and begin the healing.
Q. What percentage of my donation goes to the wounded service member and what
amount goes to administrative costs?
100 PERCENT of the donations have gone directly to the programs and services of
the Fallen Citizen Project that support our wounded service men and women.
Q. How does Fallen Citizen help?
Services offered by Fallen Citizen includes helping families with financial
uncertainty. Another way Fallen Citizen supports families is through ?reunion?
funding which allows loved ones to visit their military member who may be many
miles away. Fallen Citizen is also in coordinating with the Small Business
Administration, Office of Disability and Employment, Department of Labor, and
the Veterans Administration to help these dedicated soldiers transform there
lives. In addition Fallen Citizen funded ?Events While Healing? program that
allowed wounded military members and their families to see a professional
baseball game and other events.
Q. I would rather mail a check -- whom do I make it out to and where do I send
it?
